Take One Action! is a charity that brings communities together through the transformative power of film and storytelling. Their website is a vital platform for reaching audiences, sharing events, and delivering their mission.
But with limited time and internal resources, they needed help assessing whether their digital platform was meeting modern standards — particularly around accessibility and environmental sustainability, which are central to their values. They wanted a clear, independent view of how they were doing, what to improve, and how to talk to their digital partners about it.
With the European Accessibility Act looming, this work had a sense of urgency — but also an opportunity to lead by example.
Nimble’s Solution
As part of our Nimble Gives Back program, we provided a dedicated team to deliver a focused two-week audit leveraging both our delivery expertise and real-world accessibility knowledge.
Accessibility Audit
Checked the entire website against WCAG 2.2 AA standards using assistive technologies and evaluation tools such as WAVE, aXe, and screen readers, simulating the real experience of users relying on assistive technologies.
Sustainability Audit
We reviewed the environmental impact of the website using tools like the Green Web Foundation and Website Carbon Calculator, with a focus on performance, optimisation, and responsible hosting.
Importantly, we delivered two clear reports, along with a walkthrough session to unpack the findings and explain the ‘why’ behind our recommendations.
And because Take One Action works with a separate digital consultancy for website development, our reports were built to empower them – providing tangible next steps to share with their development partners, and guidance on what to ask of future suppliers.

With the European Accessibility Act coming into force in June 2025, this kind of audit is more relevant than ever — especially for organisations who serve the public or depend on digital visibility.
