User Researcher

  • Designing and conducting research with a range of users, including those with different levels of digital accessibility
  • Planning, leading and conducting research projects end to end throughout the different phases from: Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live
  • Identifying the root of the business problem or opportunity and using the appropriate research methods to understand the users
  • Be an excellent communicator when presenting user insights to strategic decision makers
  • Provide expertise in qualitative and quantitative user research methods
  • Connecting data from different sources using skills in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proactively involved in growing the communities of practice, to generate awareness and engagement of UCD both internally in Nimble and externally with clients

Service Designer

  • Planning and executing design activities to achieve the goals of the project, within the given timeframes
  • Challenging assumptions to define the core problems to solve
  • Facilitating collaboration through workshops to build a shared understanding across the team
  • Working closely with researchers, designers, business analysts, product managers and stakeholders in all phases of a project
  • Mapping as-is and to-be service journeys, creating service blueprints and other design artefacts
  • Creating prototypes to test concepts
  • Making design decisions based on research and evidence
  • Identifying pain points and opportunity areas
  • Documenting and communicating work clearly and concisely to all levels of stakeholders
  • Helping to develop our User Centred Design communities of practice and generating awareness of UCD both internally in Nimble and externally with clients

Interaction Designer

  • Solving design problems, working within multidisciplinary teams, bringing everyone on the journey together
  • Conceptualising, wireframing and prototyping WCAG 2.1 compliant interfaces using the GOV.UK prototyping kit and standard tools, such as Figma
  • Facilitating workshops with product teams, stakeholders and users, such as journey mapping, design critiques and co-design sessions
  • Working with user needs and evidence to inform your design work 
  • Documenting design decisions and managing iterations
  • Strategic thinking of how best to use design to help solve problems
  • Proactively involved in growing the Community of Practice to generate awareness and engagement of UCD both internally in Nimble and externally with clients
  • Sharing your knowledge and experience by delivering internal Nimble workshops, talks and writing blog articles
  • Support the learning and development of people you engage with, especially less experienced members of the community
