Nimble HQ went to Agile Cambridge - here's what we thought!
Nimble HQ went down to sunny Cambridge to check out this year’s Agile Cambridge, and it’s safe to say we had an awesome time!
After a delayed train journey, and a LOT of rain on the way, it took a few beers and a slap-up breakfast the next morning to get us in the Agile Cambridge spirit, but when we arrived we were not disappointed. The relaxed atmosphere, and impressive venue full of like-minded people was a big hit with us all from the start, only made better by the incredible opening key-note speech from Linda Rising. Linda’s speech about human behaviour, and the impact of mutual respect that comes from working towards a common goal was engaging, thought-provoking, and for us it was the by far and away the highlight of the day.
The rest of the day was a series of workshops and case studies, learning exciting new terminology, such as pursuing ‘lagom’ conditions for your team (Swedish for ‘just the right amount’, which we love!), and taking part in the biggest winner-stays-on game of ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ that we’ve ever seen! The content and delivery of the whole day was absolutely fantastic, and as we sleepily made our way back to Nimble HQ, we felt like kids in the back of the car on the way home from school; dizzy with exciting new knowledge, a little bleary-eyed, and ready for some turkey dinosaurs and smiley faces for tea!
